HG7 - Felts
These are traditional felt timp-tom mallets epoxied onto heavy-gauge aluminum shafts with vinyl grips. Timp-tom players don't play thousands of strokes, they play tens of thousands of strokes. And even though we use the highest quality felt available, eventually the felt will soften. We recommend that you use the Radials or the Lexans for general playing and the Felts for softer sounds.
1-3/8" red, ribbed rubber ball, tough 13" shaft, thick vinyl grip. Excellent for xylophone, metallophone, and entire marimba. The weight of this mallet causes the bars to produce deep, fundamental sounds.
