HG7 - Felts
These are traditional felt timp-tom mallets epoxied onto heavy-gauge aluminum shafts with vinyl grips. Timp-tom players don't play thousands of strokes, they play tens of thousands of strokes. And even though we use the highest quality felt available, eventually the felt will soften. We recommend that you use the Radials or the Lexans for general playing and the Felts for softer sounds.
Lexan is a bulletproof material which serves our drumlines well by providing the necessary toughness to penetrate the air with articulation and to punch the sound into the stands. Heavy-gauge aluminum shaft, vinyl grip.
With felt on one end and Lexan on the other, this versatile beater is the most serviceable timp-tom mallet for quick switches between soft and articulated notes. Heavy-gauge aluminum shaft.
